Margaret JoBeth Williams (born December 6, 1948) is an American film, television and stage actress. Her directorial debut with the 1994 short film On Hope, earned her an Academy Award nomination for Best Live Action Short Film. Since 2009, she has served as president of the Screen Actors Guild Foundation.
Williams rose to prominence appearing in such films as Stir Crazy (1980), Poltergeist (1982), The Big Chill (1983), The Day After (1983),Teachers (1984), and Poltergeist II: The Other Side (1986). A three-time Emmy Award nominee, she was nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Miniseries or a Movie for her work in the TV movie Adam (1983) and the TV miniseries Baby M (1988). Her third nomination was for her guest role in the sitcom Frasier (1993–94). She also starred in the TV series The Client (1995–96) and had recurring roles in the TV series'Dexter (2007) and Private Practice (2009–11). Williams was born in Houston, Texas, and is the daughter of Frances Faye (née Adams), a dietitian, and Fredric Roger Williams, an opera singer and manager of a wire and cable company.[1] Williams grew up in the South Park neighborhood of Houston,[2] and attended Jones High School.[3] She graduated from Pembroke College in Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, in 1970, intending to become a child psychologist. Instead, she turned to theater, training with Jim Barnhill and John Emigh as well as at the Trinity Repertory Company, taking voice lessons to neutralize her Texan accent. Then she moved to New York City and began to appear in television series in the mid 1970s. more....... Colin James Farrell (born 31 May 1976)[1] is an Irish actor. He first appeared on the BBC's TV drama Ballykissangel in 1998, made his film debut in the Tim Roth-directed drama The War Zone a year later[2] and was discovered by Hollywood when Joel Schumacher cast him in the lead in his war drama Tigerland (2000). He then starred in Schumacher's psychological thriller Phone Booth (2002) and the American thrillersS.W.A.T. and The Recruit (both 2003), establishing his international box-office appeal. During that time, he also appeared in Steven Spielberg’s science fiction thriller Minority Report (2002) and as the villain Bullseye in the Daredevil superhero film (2003). After starring in the independent films Intermission (2003) and A Home at the End of the World (2004) he headed Oliver Stone’s biopic Alexander (2004) and the Terrence Malick's The New World (2005).
Work in Michael Mann’s Miami Vice, the adaptation of John Fante's Ask the Dust (both 2006) and Woody Allen’s Cassandra's Dream (2007) followed, underscoring Farrell's popularity among Hollywood writers and directors; however, it was for his role in Martin McDonagh’s In Bruges(2008) that he received a Golden Globe Award. In recent years, he co-starred in the comedy-horror film Fright Night (2011) and the sci-fi action film Total Recall (2012), both remakes, and McDonagh's second feature, the black comedy crime film Seven Psychopaths (2012). Farrell also starred with Noomi Rapace in the Niels Arden Oplev-directed action film Dead Man Down, and as Travers Goff in the period drama Saving Mr. Banks (both in 2013) about the author of Mary Poppins. In 2014, Farrell starred as Peter Lake in the supernatural fable Winter's Tale (2014), an adaptation of the novel of the same name by Mark Helprin. Agnes Robertson Moorehead (December 6, 1900 – April 30, 1974) was an American actress whose career of six decades included work in radio, stage, film, and television.[1] She is chiefly known for her role as Endora on the television series Bewitched. She was also notable for her film roles in Citizen Kane, The Magnificent Ambersons, All That Heaven Allows, Show Boat and Hush… Hush, Sweet Charlotte.
While rarely playing leads in films, Moorehead's skill at character development and range earned her one Primetime Emmy Award and twoGolden Globe awards in addition to four Academy Award and six Emmy Award nominations. Moorehead's transition to television won acclaim for drama and comedy. She could play many different types, but often portrayed haughty, arrogant characters.Moorehead was born in Clinton, Massachusetts, of English, Irish, Scottish, and Welsh ancestry, to a Presbyterian clergyman, John Henderson Moorehead, and his wife, the former Mildred McCauley, who had been a singer. Moorehead later shaved six years off her age by claiming to have been born in 1906. more....... Andrew Mark Cuomo (/ˈkwoʊmoʊ/; born December 6, 1957) is an American politician who is the 56th and current Governor of New York. A member of the Democratic Party, Cuomo was elected in 2010, holding the same position his father, Mario Cuomo, held from 1983 to 1994.
Born in Queens, New York, he is a graduate of Fordham University and Albany Law School. Cuomo began his career working as campaign manager for his father then served as an assistant district attorney in New York City before entering private practice. He founded the Housing Enterprise for the Less Privileged and was appointed Chairman of the New York City Homeless Commission, where he served from 1990 to 1993. Cuomo joined the Clinton Administration in 1993 when he was appointed assistant secretary for Community Planning and Development in theU.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). He then served as Secretary of Housing and Urban Development from 1997 to 2001. After a failed campaign for governor in 2002, Cuomo was elected Attorney General of New York in 2006. In May 2010, Cuomo announced he was running for governor in the 2010 election. He won with 62% of the vote. During his first term, New York legalized same-sex marriage and toughened gun controls.
