William Conrad (September 27, 1920 – February 11, 1994) was an American actor, producer and director whose career spanned five decades in radio, film and television.A radio writer and actor, he moved to Hollywood, California, after his World War II service and played a series of character roles in films beginning with the quintessential film noir, The Killers (1946). He created the role of Marshal Matt Dillon for the popular radio series Gunsmoke(1952–1961), and narrated the television adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle (1959–1964) and The Fugitive (1963–1967).Finding fewer on-screen roles in the 1950s, he changed from actor to producer-director with television work, narration, and a series of Warner Bros. films in the 1960s. Conrad found stardom as a detective in the TV series Cannon (1971–1976) and Nero Wolfe (1981), and as a district attorney in the legal drama Jake and the Fatman (1987–1992).

Jayne Meadows (September 27, 1919 – April 26, 2015), also known as Jayne Meadows-Allen, was an American stage, film and television actress, as well as an author and lecturer. She was nominated for three Emmy Awards during her career and was the elder sister of actress and memoirist Audrey Meadows.
Jayne Meadows was born Jane Meadows Cotter in 1919,[1] in Wuchang, China, one of three sections of Wuhan, in the Hubei Province (where the family relocated to after a bomb fell on the Cotter home;[clarification needed] the other two sections are Hanyang and Hankou), the daughter of American Episcopal missionary parents, the Rev. Francis James Meadows Cotter and his wife, the former Ida Miller Taylor, who had married in 1915.[2] Meadows was the older sister of the late actress Audrey Meadows. She also had two brothers (both now deceased). In the early 1930s, the family settled in Sharon, Connecticut where her father had been appointed rector of Christ Church.[3] Meadows' most famous movies include: Undercurrent (with Katharine Hepburn), Song of the Thin Man (with William Powell and Myrna Loy),David and Bathsheba (with Gregory Peck, Susan Hayward and Raymond Massey), Lady in the Lake (with Robert Montgomery and Audrey Totter), Enchantment (with David Niven and Teresa Wright). Anthony Wilford Brimley (born September 27, 1934),[1] credited either as A. Wilford Brimley or Wilford Brimley, is an American actor. He has appeared in such films as The China Syndrome, Cocoon, The Thing and The Firm. He had a recurring role on the 1970s television seriesThe Waltons. Brimley has also done television advertisements, including for the Quaker Oats Company and Liberty Medical.[2]Brimley was born Anthony Wilford Brimley in Salt Lake City, Utah on September 27, 1934,[2] where his father worked as a real estate broker.[3]Prior to his career in acting, Brimley dropped out of high school to serve in the United States Marine Corps, where he served in the Aleutian Islands for three years. He also worked as a bodyguard (for Howard Hughes),[4] ranch hand, wrangler and blacksmith.[1] He then began shoeinghorses for film and television. He began acting in the 1960s as a riding extra in Westerns and a stunt man at the urging of his friend, actorRobert Duvall.[5]Brimley married his wife, Lynne, on July 6, 1956. They had four sons together (James Charles, John Michael, William Carmen and Lawrence Dean) and several grandchildren. Brimley and his wife were married until her death in June 2000.[6]
