Sharon Rachel Osbourne (née Arden; born 9 October 1952)[2] is an English television host, media personality, television talent competitionjudge, author, music manager, businesswoman, and promoter, and the wife of heavy metal singer-songwriter Ozzy Osbourne. She first came into public prominence after appearing in The Osbournes, a reality television show that followed her family's daily life. Osbourne later became a talent show judge on shows such as the British and original version of The X Factor, from 2004 to 2007; before returning in 2013, and America's Got Talent from 2007 until 2012.
After the success of The Osbournes and The X Factor, hosting her own chat shows and securing advertising contracts, Osbourne was ranked as the 25th richest woman in Britain on the 2009 Sunday Times Rich List.[3] As of 2008, Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne, were ranked as the 724th richest people in Britain with an estimated joint wealth of £110 million. Sharon Osbourne is credited with reviving her husband's heavy metalcareer by founding the summer Ozzfest tour.[4] She is one of five co-hosts of the daytime series The Talk. Osbourne is one of the original hosts from its launch in October 2010. In September 2014 it was announced that Sharon would become an occasional panellist on the British lunchtime television programme Loose Women as part of the shows relaunch. Johnny Mathis has sold well over 350 million records worldwide,[1][2] according to Guinness Book of World Records writer and charts music historian Paul Gambacini and other sources. This makes Mathis the third biggest selling artist of the 20th century. [3][4]Although he is frequently described as a romantic singer, his discography includes jazz, traditional pop, Brazilian music, Spanish music, soul music, rhythm and blues, soft rock, Broadway theatre, Tin Pan Alley standards, some blues and country songs, and even a few disco songs for his album Mathis Magic in 1979. Mathis also recorded five albums of Christmas music. In a 1968 interview, Mathis cited Lena Horne, Nat King Cole, and Bing Crosby among his musical influences.[5]
Mathis was born in Gilmer, Texas, United States, in 1935,[6] the fourth of seven children of Clem Mathis and his wife, Mildred Boyd.[7] The family moved to San Francisco, California, settling on 32nd Ave. in the Richmond District, where Johnny grew up. His father had worked in vaudeville, and when he saw his son's talent, he bought an old upright piano for $25 and encouraged him. Mathis began learning songs and routines from his father. John Winston Ono Lennon MBE (born John Winston Lennon; 9 October 1940 – 8 December 1980) was an English singer and songwriter who rose to worldwide fame as a co-founder of the band the Beatles, the most commercially successful band in the history of popular music. With fellow member Paul McCartney, he formed a celebrated songwriting partnership.
Born and raised in Liverpool, as a teenager Lennon became involved in the skiffle craze; his first band, the Quarrymen, evolved into the Beatles in 1960. When the group disbanded in 1970, Lennon embarked on a solo career that produced the critically acclaimed albums John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band and Imagine, and iconic songs such as "Give Peace a Chance", "Working Class Hero", and "Imagine". After his marriage to Yoko Ono in 1969, he changed his name to John Ono Lennon. Lennon disengaged himself from the music business in 1975 to raise his infant son Sean, but re-emerged with Ono in 1980 with the new album Double Fantasy. He has also had a successful career as a character actor, with roles in films such as Barton Fink (1991), Big Night (1996), Men in Black (1997),The Siege (1998), Galaxy Quest (1999), Spy Kids (2001), The Man Who Wasn't There (2001), Cars (2006), 1408 (2007), and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2014).Shalhoub is the ninth of ten children, and was born and raised in Green Bay, Wisconsin.[1][2] His father, Joe, was from Lebanon and immigrated to the United States as an orphan at the age of ten. Joe married Shalhoub’s mother, Helen (née Seroogy),[3] a second-generation Lebanese-American, and founded a family grocery chain, starting with a store in downtown Green Bay. Shalhoub was introduced to acting by an older sister who put his name forward to be an extra in a high school production of The King and I.[1]Despite finding himself standing on the wrong side of the curtain during the final dress rehearsal, he became enamored of the theater. Shalhoub attended Green Bay East High School. In his senior year he suffered a setback, breaking his leg in a fall off the stage into the pit during a rehearsal. Recovering quickly, he was able to perform in the school's final play of the year. After a short time at the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay, he earned a bachelor’s degree in drama from the University of Southern Maine.
